AN/TPN-25

AN/TPN-25 is operating in the X-band dual channel, dual function (scan/track) Precision Approach Radar (PAR) developed for the AN/TPN-19 landing control central tactical airfield control system.

AN/TPN-25 employs a transmission type of space feeded phased array antenna consisting of an array of 824 phase-shifting elements. A four-lobe monopulse feed horn is directed at the main antenna reflector. The fixed antenna (except when it is necessary to reorientate it to allow a different runway direction to be used) constantly scans electronically the entire service volume of 20º azimuth and 15º elevation, as well as tracking up to six approaching aircraft in elevation and azimuth.

AN/TPN-25 is designated as AN/GPN-22; a variant which have been supplied in quantity to the USAF and off-shore customers.
